VOLUNTEER

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc.!

Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc. is restructuring our Volunteer Program to strategically support our non-profit organization.

Diverse Trades Worker Volunteers

Diverse Trades Workers are the base of our volunteer program. We strive to be driven by the needs of diverse women and men of color in the industry. These volunteers help drive the direction of OTI and help shape our vision. Of course, all allies are welcome to volunteer as well. We also encourage all tradespeople to volunteer for opportunities under our community based volunteers.

If you are interested in serving on a volunteer team, please contact contact Tiffany Thompson, Advocacy Program Manager.

Volunteers on any team should be prepared to make a minimum of a one year commitment. Teams meet for one hour month and will require a few additional hours throughout the month to the work of the team.

Teams:

Internships

OTI regularly uses interns to assist in the day-to-day work of the organization and on a project basis. We work closely with local universities and community colleges to recruit interns for our needs. OTI is unable to financially compensate interns at this time, however, we encourage all interns to obtain class credit for their time with us. Internship with OTI will always have a specific learning plan developed between the intern and their supervisor.

If you are interested in an internship with OTI, please send a cover letter and resume to Tiffany Thompson. In the cover letter, please indicate the type of work or project you would be interested in. We are open to taking on new interns, even if we do not have an opening, if a project or learning goal is in line with our mission and our current needs.

Current Internships Available:

Community Based Volunteers

We always appreciate all kinds of support at our Women in Trades Career Fair. You can sign up for individual shifts online. Usually, volunteer shift sign up opens in March and closes 3 days before the Fair in May.

There are also a number of annual events and intermittent opportunities to support our work. If you would like to be informed about future volunteer opportunities with OTI, please join our mailing list.
