"The
girls had a great time and learned about opportunities they had
never considered. They told me it was the best field trip they
had ever been on and that the girls who didn't go really missed
out! Thank you for providing such a wonderful opportunity for
our students."
–Sharon
Watts, Washougal HS teacher
"I've
always enjoyed hands-on work but I never really considered that
I could go into a trade. At the Fair, I saw so many career possibilities.
Thank you!

"I
just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed the Fair. The girls
came away with a new perspective on the world of work. They
felt each workshop they attended was informative and fun. They
really enjoyed talking to the other girls in their workshops
and hearing the stories of the tradeswomen. They like hearing
how they came to be involved in a trade or apprenticeship. Thanks
for a great day and I look forward to next year and bringing
more girls."
–Lynette
Emerson, Rainier HS
"Everyone
was welcoming and I got lots of thank-you's. The teacher, moms
and middle school girls were terrific to be with! Plus I got
to braze and tie knots!"
–MS
Day volunteer
"On
career night when I talk to parents, they beam. Moms get so
excited about having other options for their girls to consider.
Parent chaperones say it's the simplest, best, most effective
field trip they've ever been a part of."
