Middle
school students get to experience the fair first: Thursday, May
1st is reserved for young people in sixth, seventh and eighth grades
who are interested in learning about practical applications of math,
science and communications skills in the trades.
Students
will participate in two hands-on workshops and watch an energetic
parade of trades fashions in the Women's
Work Wear Demonstration.
Young
women and men in high school construction, auto mechanics, woodworking,
and metals classes will lead workshops for the middle school students,
as will apprentice and journey-level tradeswomen and men.

note that preregistration is required for both student days of the
