Plasterer
The Work
Plasterers finish interior walls and ceilings of buildings. They
hand-apply plaster on masonry, metal, wire lath or gypsum and cement on
masonry, metal and wire lath (stucco). Plasterers are usually
employed
in commercial construction.
The Working Conditions
The work involves lifting, bending, climbing and standing. Much
of the work is done outside on scaffolding, and there can be periods of
unemployment due to weather conditions.
Wages
Union
Apprentices: $10.42 per hour
Journey level: $23.16 per hour
