Get Involved 

Volunteer at the Women in Trades Career Fair!

Our Women in Trades Career Fair serves 1,500 people over the course of three days. This industry-supported event requires over 250 volunteers to lead workshops, coordinate groups of students, direct buses, set-up exhibit spaces and many other essential tasks. Volunteer

In addition to volunteering at the Women in Trades Career Fair, we always need tradeswomen at all different levels of experience to lead workshops with middle & high school aged young women,  to speak to our Trades & Apprenticeship Career Class, to participate in an over-the-phone informational interview with aspiring tradeswomen, and even to help with administrative tasks, like mailings. Have an Impact!

Oregon State boards and commissions are vital participants in policy making, regulation, advisory and advocacy efforts for a wide variety of issues affecting all Oregonians. 

OT is looking for tradeswomen who are willing to serve on the following boards in order to bring to them the tradeswomen's perspective. Building Codes Structures Board, Commission on Black Affairs, Commision on Hispanic Affairs, Commision on Women, Commision on Contractors Board, State Housing Council, Jobs Plus Advisory Board, Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Council, Workers' Compensation Board, Plumbing Board. 

Serving on them would be a labor of love, because it is a volunteer position. You do get the opporunitity to make a lot of great contacts, and have a significant impact on isssues.
