GET INVOLVED

Thank you to Bank of America and their continued support of Oregon Tradeswomen, a non-profit organization supporting women on their path to economic self-sufficiency by pursuing careers in the skilled trades and manufacturing.

Nationally, women’s participation in the skilled-trades has remained at 3% since the 1970’s, however, here in Oregon, women comprise nearly 7% of all registered apprentices in construction – more than double the national rate of participation. We attribute this leadership to the important work Oregon Tradeswomen does to inform youth, train adults, and advocate for policies that support the participation and retention of women and racially-diverse workers in trades careers.

With 30 years of experience behind us, our vision for the next 30 years is strong. We are working to secure our own space to enable us to expand our training program, offer on-site childcare, affordable housing, and provide the tradeswomen community with a home for mentoring, leadership development, and professional growth.

In collaborating more deeply with industry and community, Oregon Tradeswomen will continue to advocate for stronger public policies, investments in pre-apprenticeship training and supportive services, and shifting cultural change in our industry.

Thanks again to Bank of America for their support of Oregon Tradeswomen and our mission to build women’s economic independence.

We invite you to join us and support our blueprint for prosperity:
