Present an Exhibit

Thursday, May 17
There are no exhibits on Middle School Girls’ Day.  Activities on Thursday, May 17 focus on interactive, hands-on workshops.

Friday, May 18
On Friday, High School Girls’ Day, students have shown a strong interest in the trades and many are already enrolled in technical classes.  With upcoming retirement of skilled tradespeople, now is the perfect time to connect with and inform high school students and adults about how to get involved in your trade through apprenticeship, community college training, or entry-level work.

Saturday, May 19
The majority of the attendees on Careers for Women day are female job seekers between the ages of 17-35 who report that they are actively seeking a new career.  Approximately 20% of the participants report being an ethnic or racial minority and 84% have graduated high school or pursued further studies in college.

Tips to Make the Most of Your Exhibit:

Make it useful:
Have employment applications at your Exhibit Booth for women to fill out and submit

Make it relevant:
Staff your exhibit with tradeswomen from your company or training program. They are great role models for Fair attendees and an excellent source of information to those interested in pursuing a similar career.

Make it interactive:
Bring tools used in your trade and let participants handle them; demonstrate the skills used in your trade or industry; have items for attendees to take home with them.

Showcase your work:
Show off your award-winning projects; display action-oriented photographs of women and men working in your trade.

Cost:

Two lunches per day are included in the fee; complimentary coffee and morning refreshments are included.

Deadline for Exhibitors:
