What is the Women in Trades Career Fair?
- A unique event changing the face of the next generation of tradesworkers
- The largest, gender-specific trades career fair in the Pacific Northwest
- An opportunity for the public to discover high-paying, highly-skilled careers in the construction, highway, electrical, and mechanical trades
- A chance for youth to check out the trades through hands-on, highly interactive workshops and exhibits led by tradeswomen
- An industry-sponsored event promoting construction employers, apprenticeship training centers, community colleges, trades-related employment and government agencies advocating for fair labor
The 2007 Women in Trades Career Fair was a great success, reaching over 830 youth and 570 adult jobseekers.
The event was powered by our generous industry sponsors, exhibitors, workshop presenters, and volunteers. An enthusiastic group of 71 volunteers dedicated their time and talents to the Fair. Thank you for building the foundation for future tradeswomen!
Special thanks to our gracious site host, the NECA/IBEW Electrical Training Center, as well as the Fair Advisory Committee and OTI’s Board of Directors for helping us produce another fun, informative, and rewarding Fair!
